Who is the EAL EV Charging Course for?

Our EAL Level 3 EV Charging Course will allow you to offer your customers the installation of vehicle charging points. The EV charging course is ideal for either those who are registered with a Part P scheme provider or those who are planning to join one, with the intention of registering with the Government OZEV (Office of Zero Emission Vehicles) grant scheme, also known as the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme.

EAL EV Charger Course Overview

The EAL Level 3 Award in the Requirements for the Installation of Electric Vehicle Charging Points 603/3929/9 has been designed to allow those looking to install electric vehicle charging equipment to gain a recognised qualification.

The course is designed to work with the IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation to give you the required knowledge to safely install charging equipment on domestic premises.

The exams

Upon completion of the Electric Vehicle Charging Course, you will need to come to our training centre to sit an online multiple-choice exam consisting of 25 questions. You can take your IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation book with you for reference. Please call us on 01444 872145 when you are ready to take the exam.

Upon successful completion of the exam, you will receive a digital copy of your qualification certificate within 3 working days.

Entry requirements

You must have your Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment) or Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance), or equivalent to enrol on this course. You will need to be 18 or over to attend the course.
