Level 3 NVQ 2357 course overview

The City & Guilds 2357 NVQ Level 3 is an essential qualification for obtaining the JIB ECS Gold Card or joining a Competent Persons Scheme. Tailored for professionals with a City & Guilds 2365 Level 3, this NVQ assesses your practical skills and knowledge through real-world performance units. Upon enrolment, you’ll start with a bridging assessment to confirm your knowledge and progress to building an evidence portfolio.

Your portfolio involves applying knowledge gained from previous courses to real-world scenarios and collecting evidence to showcase your work. We will oversee the portfolio administration and provide feedback on collected evidence.

Upon completion of your portfolio, you will undertake an AM2 assessment. This is a 2-day assessment carried out by an independent assessor (please note this will incur an extra cost). Once you have successfully passed your AM2, you will obtain your diploma qualification.

Evidence portfolio

Experienced electricians can use evidence from past projects. For newcomers to the industry, building your portfolio begins once you start working as an electrician. Various evidence types can be collected for the portfolio, including:

– Witness testimonies

– Photographs

The exams

Upon enrolment in this course, you are required to undergo a bridging assessment, consisting of a 90-minute short-answer question paper and a professional discussion. This assessment facilitates the transfer of your knowledge from the City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 Course to the NVQ 2357 Level 3 in Electrical Installation.

After completing your evidence portfolio, the final step to achieving your NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification is the AM2 assessment. This final assessment is carried out by an independent assessor. To take the AM2, you will need to find a local NET centre centre and book the assessment through them.

We have designed a route to help you become a qualified electrician in the most straightforward and flexible way possible.
